Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to experience the joys of LUX igniting the spark in my life with their fragrance body products. Besides the pretty packaging in which it was sent, the aroma that came from the box as I opened it only had me wishing to test and try it out then and there. That evening I ran a bath and filled it with the Soft Touch Pink Floral Infusion body wash which created a perfect bubble bath after a busy day at the office. I added just a few drops to my bath water and it did the rest. Totally relaxing and definitely ignited some spark. To top it off who does not like  a sweet something to nibble on? The pink macaroons was the perfect touch to my bubble bath which I shared with Dale.

Its that time of the year, the malls are full and the prices have increased. But that does not mean we can't spoil our-selves or lust over some gorgeous items. Today's blogpost is all about a gift guide for HER, If you want to spoil your girlfriend, wife, best friend, these items are perfect, some are affordable and some require you splurge.
So firstly we going to talk about fashion and then get into the beauty products. Most of the products listed are items that I would personally want *hint hint* But as you know Christmas is not about the gifts, its family time and remembering the real reason why we celebrate Christmas as Christians.

Dresses are a perfect gift especially in South Africa we are experiencing one of the hottest times of the year. A cocktail length dress is wearable and can be dressed down or up for any occasion.  You can also pair it with a nude pair of heels for a dinner with your bae or drinks with your girls. One of the most famous palettes to ever hit the BH Cosmetics website is the Carli Bybel Palette. Since it launched it has been sold out and on pre-order for a few weeks, the site even crashed, and I'm not blaming her because the palette is absolutely beautiful. I am dying to get my hands on it and every other beauty blogger. LOL. After watching DesiMakeup's vlog I fell inlove with the Tarte Cosmetics Tarlette palette, The colours are so gorgeous and apparently the texture and pigmentation of the product is amazing. So I am definitely trying to make a major purchase on the tarte website. If you know of any local websites that do ship to South Africa, please comment below and let me know. Thanks! I also included some home decor/workspace items just to jazz up your home desk or office. A girl can never have enough rosegold in her room.

Happy December loves, I can't believe how fast this year has gone by, so much has happened and we are almost in 2016. I decided to create a video just for my makeup disaster girls. We have all had that one day where we think we are looking fly but it turns out to be the opposite and people around you even your friend don't say anything.
This video will help you achieve a simple everyday look without going crazy and drag-queen. I tackle liquid winged liner, perfect eyebrows, Kylie Jenner lips, contour and highlighting the right way, and also using specific colours for your skin tone. Most of us watch videos and see the shades of bronzers and highlighters and expect it to work for us, but as a darkskinned girl, a pink under tone highlighter or a grey bronzer does not do it for me. So basically you need to try out different shades and brands that agree and work with you. Don't buy a product for the sake of buying but because you are going to use it. I hope you enjoy this video.

Don't forget to give this video a thumbs up if you would like more videos like this and also comment below what you would like to see next. I need the inspiration :-) Let me know which days you prefer me to upload videos and times.

Also if you don't know, you can watch my videos in HD, just select the option from the settings tab on the video, either 720p or 1080p

Love you guys lots and thank you so much for the support. You don't understand how much it means to me to see you liking and sharing my videos and commenting that my tips and tricks worked for you. Have a lovely week babes and I will see you in the next video xx

Talk about luxury items. Dale and I arrived to have delicious drinks served to us and a small talk on the brand. Dale got his shoes sparky clean while I looked around and did some window shopping. For hoste who have been following me for a long time you will know I am a blogger on a budget so I know for act I cannot afford the Ted Baker range, but it was insightful to see the beautiful garments and have a sneak peek of the fashion trends for the coming season. Before we left each blogger received a goodie bag of fun branded stuff to play around, which included Ted Baker pencil crayons and a Sippie Cup (hug fan of). I hope you enjoy the pics of the event, I thoroughly had a blast. Thank you to 4ElementsMedia for the invite.

So its officially hot off the press. Kendall & Kylie Jenner collaborated with Forever New to bring and exclusive exquisite collection. These young beauties took flight to Australia for the launch at the Forever New Aus. I know I would have loved to be in that country at the time but we did have a local publicist present to make fellow South Africans jealous. The collection is available at Forever New stores in South Africa and were spotted in Sandton and the V&A Waterfront. So if you do pay the stores a visit, please tag me and tweet so I can see some of your images. #KendalKylieForeverNewSA
If you remember last month I paid a visit to the beautiful city of Cape Town to visit the rubybox studios. I was there for a specific reason and today I get to publicly share it. Together with Garnier SA and rubybox I was flown to film a video on my thoughts of the amazing Micellar Waters. It was such a professional but humbling experience and I can't wait to embark on more projects like this again.

Yesterday I attended the launch of Claires's at the Pavillion Shopping Center. What a beautiful time I had. We were allowed to bring a little girl to attend the launch with us to get spoilt aswell. Each lady received a gift voucher to shop till we drop in the new store and also interact with the fellow celebs and bloggers in attendance.
Hey Loves, yay for a new video on my channel. I posted on my social media what videos you would like to see next and most of you asked for a Summer Look. So I filmed a Full Face Summer Glam look, especially for my ladies who want to get dressed up for a night out. Most of the products mentioned in the video are available at Dischem and Clicks stores, so you will be able to recreate this look. If you don't have everything, don't stress, use what you have and follow the easy simple steps. I am a blogger on a budget so I don't use any products that are going to make a dent in your pocket.
I hope you enjoy this video, give the video a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe!

Workspace Wednesday, wednesday, office, decor, office decor, workspace, wednesday, gold office, pretty office, pretty things
One of the things that I am am totally obsessed is Office Decor. Tell me you also have this crazy obsession?? I love surfing the net looking at ideas to redecorate the office or my bedroom and it doesn't help with all these amazing ideas that could break the bank. I found so many "looks for less" at Mr Price Home, where you can achieve the exact look you find on Pinterest without denting your wallet,
Happy Tuesday loves. Today's post is something that I only discovered this year after shopping at MAC for so many years. So if you are a MAC client, then this post may help you in the future. We all love a good bargain and when companies give us the option to return our used products in exchange for a new product then hello I shall run for that deal.

The concept:
"Because we share your commitment to the environment, M·A·C accepts returns of its primary packaging through the Back to M·A·C Program. By returning six [6] M·A·C primary packaging containers to a M·A·C counter or M·A·C Cosmetics online, you'll receive a free M·A·C lipstick of your choice as our thanks to you."
After shopping at MAC over the past years I only realized this year that I should be saving all my used products. I had so many empty foundation bottles, compact powder containers and concealers containers which were serving no purpose lying around on my vanity. So I popped down to my nearest MAC counter with all the empties and returned it to the store. I had just a little over 18 products to be exact. I had no idea what the process was to exchange the products for a lipstick but I did know you can return your empties and will receive a lipstick in exchange. So the assistant counted all the products and told me that I could pick out two lipsticks from the counter in exchange for 12 products which I would return to the store. I was super excited because I hadn't tried out the MAC Lippies yet, so I decided to try out the MAC Matte Taupe and Matte Diva. The matte lipsticks retail for R210 each.

Process:
❥ Collect any 6 empty products (Concealers, Foundations, Powder compact, Eyeshadow, Trio compact, Pigments, Mascara tube, Foundation tube, Blush compact, Liquid liner tube, Cream colour blush, Paint tube, Cream colour base)
❥ Take it to your nearest MAC store
❥ Exchange it for a lipstick of your choice
Don't forget to keep collecting any empties so you can score. I hope this post was as informative as it was for me when I found out about this deal at MAC. Have a blessed day!

Beauty products are my weakness, Every time I pop into Dischem or Clicks I want to buy the whole store, especially after watching YouTube videos where other beauty gurus try out fabulous products. Which made me come to this blogpost about beauty products that all beauty blogger wish they had or currently lusting over. Most of the amazing beauty products are unavailable in our country or we would need to shop online and ship it here. I religiously watch Carli Bybel and Desi Perkins videos, lusting over the products they have and how easily accessible it is to them.

Its the first of October already! Can you believe it. 12 Weeks until Christmas, I really can't wait!
This year has flown by so quickly, so many things have happened this year that I am so grateful for especially the fact that I married my best friend and love of my life.

I love watching these type of videos so I can go down to my local beauty shops and purchase the products I liked. So yay to a new video. I'm kind of getting the hang of this uploading twice a week. I hope you are enjoying my videos and the content I am creating.

So this video is long overdue. I talk all about the current beauty products I have been loving and using. Because I am a South African blogger, for my overseas viewers, some of these products may not be available in your country but I will leave links below or on the blog, if you would like to purchase them.

Yay this is a second video up on my channel this week Lets hope we keep it up. Comment below if you would like to see more videos weekly. Today we tackle the L'Oreal Infalliable 24HR Foundation. I have been reviewing this product for the past month and I really love it. Firstly if you watch in the video you would notice the amount of pigmentation I have from acne and I do anything and everything to cover them up. This foundation does the right amount of covering with a very little product. Two pumps gives me the perfect coverage for an everyday look.

Lets go through the PROS and CONS about this Foundation:

PROS
❥ Lasts throughout the day
❥ The smell is very fresh and not medicated like most foundations
❥ A little product goes a long way
❥ Easy to blend
❥ Does not dry quickly when applying
❥ No mask effect/spook face - for those selfies
❥ The finish is Matte with a dewy effect
❥ Covers imperfections
❥ Natural finish

CONS
❥ Transfers on clothing - so no hugging the hubby :-(
❥ If you have an oily T-Zone, the foundation will start shinning

If you do have oily to combination skin, I suggest using a powder to set the foundation and also a primer or pore filler. This will help mattify your skin and allow the foundation to apply evenly.

I hope you enjoyed this review and demo. Please let me know if you prefer videos like these or if you would like other videos. Its the long weekend so be safe and enjoy your Heritage Day tomorrow. Stay blessed.

Last week rubybox sent me the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water  #GarnierComeClean to review. I have been using the product since it launched so it wasn't new to me. I must say I feel inlove ever since I started using it. Not only does it completely remove your makeup and any residue but your face feels softer and supple without the sticky or tight feeling from most cleansers. I will be hosting a giveaway whereby I will be giving away both Cleansing Waters. So comment below what type of giveaway I should host and how you would like to win. In video you will see the product in action. I have foundation, concealer and face powder, contour and highlight creams, lipstick and blush. The makeup comes off with one cotton round but I use two cotton rounds juts to be sure that everything is off.

If you would like to purchase these products visit your local Clicks stores or shop online via Zando for rubybox beauty related products. Let me know if you have tried this out yet. Have blessed day and we will chat soon!

Since Kylie Jenner turned eighteen, she won't stop now. Racy images circulating, going public with new beau, Tyga who is seven years older than her and now cover shoots for Galore Magazine. What are your views on her lifestyle? She does confess that being in the limelight from such a young age allowed her to be exposed to things and made her grown up faster than she should. So I am not surprised the result in her outcomes. Don't get me wrong, I love the Kardashian's and the business women they have turned out to be but some of them went around the wrong way to make money and become famous. I would love to know your views on her whole approach to fame. She will be launching her very own website soon with a Lip-kit that we can purchase to achieve the fuller pout that everyone raves about.

On Saturday, 5 September 2015, I finally hosted my first Beauty Workshop in Durban. After much questioning and planning, the workshop came together, venue was booked and sponsors made their final sponsorships. Was I nervous, YES, did I know if everyone was going to pitch, NO. But was I happy to make a difference in the lives of the women who did attend.

I sent out an email a few months back asking ladies if they would like to attend a Beauty Workshop where I will be speaking about the trending topics in the beauty world and also perform demonstrations of "How To" achieve certain looks, I also asked them for suggestions for the topics or makeup looks they wanted me to cover, the most popular one being Contour & Highlighting. I did include a disclaimer that I was not a professional makeup artist but I did create and film beauty videos over the past years which has allowed me to develop certain skills and tricks to achieve the professional makeup artist look.

More ladies were drawn to my approach to the "blogger on a budget" and could not help but sign up for the workshop. After a month of planning the day finally arrived. I decided to host the workshop at the same venue that Dale & I had our wedding, The Emakhosini Boutique Hotel. The hotel was so accommodating and they built a Hi-Tea menu especially for my event.
The ladies arrived that morning, dressed in white & denim from head to toe. I provided headbands, mirrors and makeup remover for each lady, together with gift bags from the amazing sponsors. The workshop commenced where I spoke about my blog and the reason for the workshop. We then stripped away the makeup from our faces to start on a "clean canvas". From there we did the perfect Eyebrow Tutorial and followed with a Day to Night look. We ended with the perfect Foundation Application routine and a Contour & Highlighting tutorial. Most of the ladies came away with skills & tricks and urged me to host another workshop in the near future.

Firstly thank you to every lady who attended, your support means so much to me and I truly appreciate it. Thank you to my lovely parents and husband for supporting my vision and making the day possible. Lastly to my sponsors for the amazing gifts for the day, thank you Oh So Heavenly, Moroccan Oil, Blkgirlbeauty, Brand hree Sixty who gifted amazing branded goodies all the way from the states.

I am defiantly thinking of planning another Workshop so will keep you posted on the blog. I hope you enjoy the pictures from the day seeing as some of you could not attend. Stay Blessed!
