Simone Slater [한국의 외국인 생활]

When I talk about products being available here in South Africa am not talking about online shopping and paying for shipping and duties but actually physically visiting their stores and testing out the makeup. It sucks that some brands don't make it here to our country and we have to pay for shipping and duties, which I don't mind paying but when you calculate how much it ends up costing it’s really not worth it because you end up paying double which is more than what the products are worth.

With that being said I put together a few brands which I wish could come to South Africa so we can experience what international bloggers/beauty gurus and beauty lovers get to see on a daily basis. Brands like Nars and Benefit Cosmetics to name a few have products which I am dying to try but they are so out of reach... But let’s face it, it’s not hard for a girl to wish! :-)

Urban Chic Boutique Hotel, an upmarket luxury hotel, located on Long Street in Cape Town, in the heart of the beautiful city. Dale actually found this gorgeous hotel when we were looking for accommodation last month for a Wedding we were attending. To our surprise we came to this amazing hotel and fell inlove immediately, talk about stunning!! If you are a young couple, who enjoys the city and nightlife and does not mind noisy streets and taking a stroll on a busy road, then Urban Chic Hotel is the ideal place to stay. Their service is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and spacious and your breakfast is included every morning with an awesome array of delicious food.

This was by far one of my FAV dresses ever worn to a fancy event/wedding. I literally had it made in a day and a half by one of the most amazing designers based in Durban in the CBD, and he did not charge me outrageous prices for coming to him at such late notice. This dress fitted me like a glove and was so warm taking into account the wedding was held at a wine estate in Wellington, Cape Town which was ideal for the weather. I got the inspiration for the dress from from Khloe Kardashian's burgandy velvet wrap dress dress which she wore to the 22nd Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party. I then paired it with lace up heals, a clutch and vintage jewlery as the them for the wedding was Old Hollywood - Red Carpet. Dale wore a tux and a bowtie as he was one of the grooms men. More pics of the wedding to follow soon on the blog xx

What do you think of my dress, did I pull off the look??

Yay tomorrow is a HOLIDAY, actually voting day so I can sleep in early. Decided to do a quick outfit post from my weekend away in the Kaap. This post is what I wore to the airport when we left to Cape Town. Our flight was super early so throwing on the most comfy yet fashionable clothes was my only concern LOL. When we arrived at Cape Town International Airport, the coldest wind hit us and I was fortunate enough to be carrying in my hand luggage a coat and my fav hat.

What do you think of this travel look?? Seems like I will be doing alot of travelling these days, not that I am complaining...
Stay blessed

So over this long weekend/week Dale and I together with his mate Caleb and wife Chelsea flew to Cape Town to attend one of the most beautiful wedding. I was fortunate enough to do the bridal makeup and hair for the wedding which was amazing. The theme for the wedding was Old Hollywood so it was only fitting to wear hats, lace, pearls and gloves, and when I say everyone dressed up!!

This is one of the dresses I wore for the wedding which I bought at Oh La La at Musgrave Center (Durban). It fitted so well with the them and the weather was perfect, even though we were doubting it because of the cold wind in thet air. Dale was the best man at the wedding and so was his best mate, Caleb.
The venu was amazing situtated in Wellinton on a Wine Estate. Will follow up with a blog post specifically on the wedding itself. But this is a quick outfit post of what I wore for the Ceremony.
Hope you enjoy and Stay Blessed

Thank you to my love Dale for taking these pics for me. And didn't he look so dapper in his bow tie??
