Products that really work...
Being a Beauty Blogger means trying out every product on the market and sometime being disappointed by the previous reviews or what the product actually says it suppose to do Have you had that problem when you purchased a new product?
Today I'm going to let you in on products that do actually work. Starting with hair products that claim to grow your hair, or make it shine or keep it in place.
The Jane Seymour Wonderset hairspray
What it claims:
A long lasting conditioning hairspray that is set to keep your hair looking and feeling good throughout the day. It also claims to set the hair once styled ad does not leave the hair crispy and dry.
What it actually does:
I can say the product does exactly that, my hair did not feel like I had hair spray in my hair let alone look frail or crispy. It left a shine to my hair especially because my hair is jet black, anything that goes on my hair tends to make my hair greasy and oily. I did not have that problem with this hair spray. My hair styles would set with the stray and if I wanted to rock a curl or straight do, I would spritz some of this on my hair and it did the job.
What it claims:
The Keraste Cristal Liste Shampoo and Conditioner is set to give volume to the hair without thickening the hair or changing the strand.
What it actually does:
I honestly loved using this to wash my hair. Lathering this mixture in my hair did not leave my hair feeling tangled or like cotton, (like most shampoos do) After washing y hair and conditioning I felt as if I had visited salon.The experience is amazing. The smell is divine and once your dries you see the true worth of the product. y hair was softer than usual and shiner than before.
What it claims:
The Batiste Dry Shampoo (Dark & Deep Brown) claims to keep the hair fresh or the day without leaving a white cast on the hair where you have sprayed. You hair suppose to smell good and feel as if you have just washed your hair.
What it actually does:
I have a huge issue with my hair being oil, most people don't realize it when they see my hair but its the dry shampoo that keeps me sane. In the beginning I wasn't really a fan of dry shampoo's but I noticed a lot of beauty guru's mentioning the Batiste range so I thought I might as well try it out and I loved it. My hair smelt great which was a plus ad then I realized it was tinted so I did not have to walk around like I had rolled in powder before walking out the house (which is one issue I have with normal dry shampoo - especially because I have dark hair and it is so noticeable).
What it claims:
The Moroccan Oil has been the craze for the past couple years. If you did not try it or have not heard of this product then you have been living under a rock??? Well that's the just you get out of the crazy buzz! And once you jump on that bandwagon you can't go back. It claims to tame the fly-aways when you are applying heat tot he hair, it claims to add moisture to the hair when applied directly to the roots after washing and to the ends of the hair It also helps with split ends.
What it actually does:
I LOVEEEE this product. OMG if it was not sent from the beauty Gods then I don't know lol I really enjoy using this oil. I use is all the time on my roots and split ends or when I jump out the shower and my hair is screaming for attention. Since using the product, my hair looks great and feels sooooo beautiful. I notice alot of people have been asking what I have done with my hair. Besides cutting it and treating it, iv'e been using the Moroccan Oil range as my everyday cleansing and conditioning routine. What it claims:
The Marc Anthony Bye Bye frizz Shampoo ad Conditioner claims to tame the frizz and keep it under control. It also suppose to help the frizzy strand by reducing its frizz to 75%.
What it actually does:
I enjoyed this product a little goes a long way. My hair felt so smooth after washing and conditioning. It did help tame me frizz and control the crazy curls. I also like the fact that it is a Sulfate Free product so there were no harsh chemicals used in the product which can damage the hair.
What it claims:
John Frieda Full Repair Oil Elxir claims to smooth, add shine and give strength to the hair follicle.
What it actually does:
This product smells great but I find I have so many types of these products in my hair care range that its hard really to say if its worth getting. It does what it says, gives shine to the hair and leaves your hair smelling and looking great.
What it claims:
Lush Cosmetics Mask of Magnaminty claims to fight acne and spots. Fresh handmade products to fight the causes of acne.
What it actually does:
I swear by this product. In the beginning I was weary about using it but since I have been trying it out for the past few months I'm in love. It does the job and since I suffer with Acne i have had a huge problem with trying out products that are destroying or harming my skin even more. I find this mask has helped in a way to control my acne and fight the possibilities of it coming back. It leaves a tingling sensation on the sing when applied and once washed off your face feels cleansed.
What it claims:
Oh So Heavenly Miracle Blur Primer is said to eliminate the signs of wrinkles and lines, Enlarge pores and eliminate imperfections.
What it actually does:
I have only been using this products for a couple weeks now and I really like it My sister actually recommended it to me because she said it helped keep her matte throughout the day. I have noticed I have becoe a tab bit oily but I am more matte than I used to be.
What it claims:
Environ Alpha Day Lotion claims to protect your face from the UV Rays and sunlight It can be used on the face and body.
What it actually does:
This is one product I constantly use and it never seems to get finished. Besides being such a thick consistency, it really does give you the 24 hour protection you need if you out in the sun for the day.
What it claims:
Essence All About Matt Oil Control Paper claims to absorb the oil on the face when patting throughout the day,
What it actually does:
I a loving this little piece of item. Its super affordable and small to fit in your purse. The convenience of carrying around this in your purse especially on a hot day it amazing.... I don't perspire but my face does get oily throughout the day and I find I am constantly reaching to these paper control pieces to help control the sebum content on my skin.
What it claims:
Johnson Baby Soft Cream is for babies to moisturize their skin
What it actually does:
I don't know why but I love baby products and especially the baby soft creams. They smell great and feel amazing on the skin. My skin always feels moisturized when I have applied the cream on my skin
What it claims:
LA Girl Pro Concealer claims to be the best HD concealer and a dupe to MAC Pro Long wear concealer.
What it actually does:
This is the best thing that as ever happened to me since I discovered makeup. I used to use foundation daily but now I find I'm drawn to this concealer to hide my imperfections and also disguise my acne. The consistency ad texture is thick almost like the MAC pro long wear concealer and it also bends in well on the skin.
What it claims:
TLC Baby Moisture Wipes is used for babies to wipe their bottom but I use it as facial wipes.
What it actually does:
The added cocoa butter in the wipes also helps remove my makeup everyday. I prefer removing my makeup with wipes than a cotton bud and liquid.
What it claims:
Sanex deodrant claims to keep your underarms fresh throughout the day.
What it actually does:
Love and swear by this. Keeps me fresh and smelling great the whole day. Does not leave a white cast on your clothing and dries instantly.
What it claims:
Prep Cream is used for soothes the harshness of shaving. I use it as a shaving cream when i shave my legs.
What it actually does:
Prep has become something I had to adjust to. My bf once told me he used this product to shave his legs for rugby and I was really confused. The I started using it and realized why he was using it as a shaving cream Its so neutral on the skin especially when it comes to shaving, you don't want to use harsh products on the sin that will break the surface of the skin and cause an irritation.
What it claims:
Mandy Wax Strips claims to remove hair without breaking the surface of the skin and is more sensitive than other wax formulas.
What it actually does:
I ony wax my underarms and I find the Mandys Wax strips for legs are the most convenient strips to use. They are long enough to cover the whole under arm it removes every hair in the first removal.
What it claims:
Essence Nail Art Express Dry Drops claims to dry the nail polish quicker than a quick dry polish.
What it actually does:
Love this! Always using these drops when I paint my nails because I hardly have patience when I'm doing my nails and these drops dry them quicker than I have ever wanted nails to be dried.
